Kick-Starting a New Type of Women’s Workwear

An estimated 40 American million women work in professional trades or identify as do-it-yourselfers (DIYers). But because these industries are still largely considered “men’s work,” most workwear manufacturers overlook women as a consumer group. TOUGHER aims to fill this marketplace gap by providing high-quality, affordable workwear made for women, by women. TOUGHER’s Work Gloves and Groundbreaker Work Pants are designed to fit hardworking women so they no longer have to sacrifice safety, fit, style, or durability.

Public Good PR helped TOUGHER create, launch, and garner positive media attention for its successful 2017 Kickstarter campaign. In less than a week, the company surpassed its fundraising goal to support the first production run of Groundbreaker Work Pants. Our efforts built excitement for the campaign and drew attention to this ground-breaking product line, allowing TOUGHER to reach more women nationwide.
