Media Outreach for a Specific Issue or Event
Basic Media Outreach
- Clarify key messages and develop basic talking points document
- Help client outline a press release and media advisory (or pitch) to support an upcoming event / story
- Develop a targeted media list
- Distribute to reporters and news directors and advise on follow up pitching

Mid-Level Media Outreach
Everything in Basic package plus:
- Draft outreach materials for client (instead of only outlining and editing)
- Provide media training for spokespeople
- Advise client on drafting materials for publication (op-eds and letters to the editor), provide edits)
Premier Media Outreach
Everything in Mid-Level package plus:
- Write materials for publication (op-eds, guest articles, ltes, etc.) on behalf of client (instead of only advising and editing)
- Draft and design additional materials (fact sheets, websites, brochures, presentations)
Communications Planning: Capacity Building
Basic Capacity Building
- Develop key messages building on organization’s mission and vision
- Tailored webinars to guide key staff on how to conduct effective media outreach
Mid-Level Capacity Building
Everything in Basic package plus:
- Hands-on media trainings (either in person or via videoconference)
- Develop organization-wide strategic communications plan that identifies specific tactics for up to three priority projects
- Guidance on social media tactics to support traditional media outreach
Premier Capacity Building
Everything in Mid-Level package plus:
- Manage and execute the communications plan for long-term goals (i.e. ongoing outreach to media, writing and editing materials, developing campaign and event specific communications plans, creating internal and external materials)
- Social media campaign management
