The Leakey Foundation was founded in 1968 to promote the budding science of human evolution, the field of study to which Dr. Louis S.B. Leakey devoted much of his life. Today, the Foundation is one of the world’s preeminent funders of research into human pre-history and evolution.

The Leakey Foundation presented the Leakey Prize, the nation’s most prestigious award in human evolutionary science, to world-renowned primate scientists Drs. Jane Goodall and Toshisada Nishida in November 2008. Public Good PR’s efforts garnered extensive media coverage in the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, NPR’s Science Friday, PRI’s To the Best of Our Knowledge, and articles in Nature and Discover magazines.
